Everyone Wants to be Irish on Saint Patrick's Day!

Welcome to the Luck of the Irish. Here our favorite holiday is Saint Patrick's Day. Saint Patrick's Day is the day celebrating the life of Ireland's Patron Saint Patrick. It is annually on March 17, designating his deathday on March 17, 460 AD.

We created three blogs that tell of three different aspects of Saint Patrick's Day. There is the first blog about the hill that Patrick allegedly banished the snakes from Ireland; the second blog which tells a little about a common symbol of Saint Patrick's Day called the shamrock; and last, there is the blog about Saint Patrick himself, a man born in Britain as a pagan, but most well known for being a Saint of Ireland and turning the whole country to Catholicism.

If you prefer formal facts, then you can look at our expository essay. It tells you everything you could ever want to know about Saint Patrick's Day: leprechauns, the Chicago River, how it was first celebrated in America...

We hope you enjoy our project and come out knowing more than you did before about Saint Patrick's Day. And remember, may the Luck of the Irish be with you!
